Deral Miller joins Head Coach Jonathan Bane's coaching staff as the Wide Receiver Coach and Player Personnel for the San Antonio Gunslingers. With over 15 years of experience, Miller holds a dynamic background in coaching as well as Player Personnel.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, and a Kentucky State University graduate, Miller was a 4 year starter at Kentucky State as well as ran track for Kentucky State. Coach Miller began his arena and indoor career in 2009 when he signed with the El Paso Generals of the IFL before going to the DC Armor. In 2010 Miller signed with the San Jose Wolves of the AIFA in San Jose California. The San Jose Wolves would eventually become the Stockton Wolves in 2011 where Miller helped lead his team to a WIFA championship before being named the Sacramento Eagles in 2012. During the 2012 season Miller would sign with the Laredo Rattlesnakes in Laredo, Tx.
While playing indoor football Miller began coaching High School in California and then eventually in Texas. After playing indoor for several years Miller decided to hang up his uniform and focus on Coaching and eventually expanding into scouting. In 2021 Coach Miller began his scouting career with the then Cajun All Star Bowl where he started off as a Scouting Intern, later climbing the ladder to Lead Scouting Assistant. Coach Miller scouted for the Cajun All Star Bowl from 2021-2024 before joining the Player Personnel Department for the UTSA Road Runners in San Antonio, Tx.Â
